Stillpoint Foundations

Support for women navigating alcohol use after weight loss surgery

Stillpoint Foundations  is a short-term, supportive program to help you slow things down, understand what’s happening, and take a steadier next step.

If you’ve been carrying this quietly…

You may be here because there’s a quiet fear you haven’t put into words yet. A sense that something has shifted, that drinking is taking up more space than you intended, or that one way of coping slowly replaced another. Maybe it feels like you’ve landed somewhere you promised yourself you never would.

You don’t need answers or certainty right now. You need safety, understanding, and a place to gently come to rest.

Carrying quiet shame for struggling again.

You didn’t fail—your body adapted.

You don’t have to hold this alone anymore.

Why this makes sense (even if it doesn’t feel like it yet)

After weight loss surgery, your body, brain, and nervous system change in ways most women are never prepared for. Food often served as comfort and regulation long before it was ever “a problem.” When that option is removed, your nervous system still needs relief — it simply looks for it somewhere else. For many women, alcohol becomes that substitute.

This isn’t about weakness, poor choices, or willpower. It’s about a nervous system trying to cope without the tools it once relied on. When this is understood, shame softens — and real change becomes possible.

Your body is responding differently now

After weight loss surgery, alcohol is absorbed much more quickly. Changes to the stomach and intestines mean it reaches the bloodstream faster and hits harder, often with less warning. When this is paired with a nervous system already under strain, it becomes a huge contributing factor in why drinking can escalate and feel harder to control.

This isn’t about doing something wrong — it’s about a body that now needs a different kind of support.

A place to steady yourself

Stillpoint Foundations is not about fixing you or pushing you into decisions. It’s a short-term, structured program designed to help you slow things down, settle your nervous system, and make sense of what you’re experiencing — without pressure, judgment, or labels.

You don’t need certainty or readiness to be here. This is a safe, contained space to breathe, reconnect with your inner compass, and take the next right step at your own pace.

Who is this for?

Stillpoint Foundations is for women who have had weight loss surgery and are struggling with alcohol in ways they didn’t expect. If drinking feels harder to control, if you’re questioning your relationship with alcohol, or if you know you need support but don’t know where to begin, this space is for you.

You don’t need a label or certainty — just a willingness to pause and take a steadier first step.

Who is this not for?

Stillpoint Foundations is not a fit if you require medical detox, are in active crisis, or need immediate psychiatric support. It is also not designed for individual therapy, trauma processing, or emergency care.

If this isn’t the right level of support right now, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed — it simply means a different kind of care may be more appropriate.

What you can expect

A calm, supportive group environment where you are not judged, rushed, or pushed to share more than you’re ready for. Sessions are structured and predictable, helping your nervous system settle while you build understanding and practical skills.

You can expect education that makes sense of what you’re experiencing, tools to manage urges and overwhelm, and guidance that respects both your body and your recovery.

Where to begin

If this feels like it might be a fit, you’re welcome to reach out.
