Heart of the Family - Education™
Addiction does not happen in a vacuum. One addicted person affects a minimum of 10 people around them. The family needs as much help and support as the addicted loved one does. The place most people start is education.
The Registered Therapeutic Counsellors that facilitate Heart of the Family - Core Education are addiction experts. They have more than 10 years of professional experience and more than 25 years of lived experience. They have built Heart of the Family based on all the lessons they wish they knew when they were in the vortex of addiction with their loved ones. They recognize the challenges and emotional strength it takes to support your loved one toward recovery and they do so in a way that is empathetic, gentle and respectful.
Heart of the Family is a 4-week family education group run monthly. It starts at 6pm on the first Thursday of each month and is online. Each Tuesday, you will receive an email with the handouts and the link for the group. This gives you time to read the material and ponder any questions you might have. Each week is packed full of information and discussion and questions are encouraged.
